Two Bodies Found on Neighbouring Little Bay Beach

Just this morning, two bodies were found on Little Bay Beach, less than 10 kilometres from Coogee, prompting a large-scale emergency response.

The incident unfolded at approximately 11:10 AM when a beachgoer at Little Bay alerted authorities after finding unattended personal items on the shore. Shortly after the report, the first body was found near rocks and the second at around 1:40 PM.

As of Sunday afternoon, New South Wales police had not formally identified either of the deceased. A police spokesperson suggested misadventure as a possible cause, though investigations are ongoing.

The proximity of this incident to Coogee has raised questions about beach safety in the area.

Emergency services, including police helicopters and boats, were seen operating in the waters off Little Bay throughout the day.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers. As the community awaits more details, this tragic event serves as a sobering reminder of the potential dangers of coastal areas, even in seemingly calm conditions.

Local residents are advised to stay informed about beach conditions and always prioritise safety when enjoying the area’s beautiful but sometimes unpredictable coastline.
