Bidding began at $2.3 million, immediately meeting the reserve, before three active parties pushed the price higher. After a series of $50,000, $10,000 and $5000 increases, the property eventually changed hands for $2.5 million. The buyers had been living in an apartment in Coogee and were looking to move up within the suburb, according to selling agent Marnie Seinor of Sydney Sotheby’s International Realty.

The semi offered outdoor entertaining areas, an in-ground pool and additional space on its lower level. Inside, the home retains original features including ornate ceilings and timber floorboards. Its living and dining areas open towards the rear veranda, while the kitchen has adjoining dining space and ample storage.

The backyard includes a covered alfresco area overlooking the pool, along with established gardens and a level lawn. There is also an oversized tandem lock-up garage with side passage access, providing two parking spaces.

The property has approximately 260 square metres of land, with two bedrooms, one bathroom and two parking spaces. The listing places it just moments from Coogee Beach, village cafés and the coastal walk.
